Eatons Hill Veterinary Surgery - Dr. O'Grady Allen

I don't like leaving bad reviews, however my experience with this vet left me feeling really upset, stressed out as well as my puppy. The girls at the desk were beyond lovely, however, when I took my 10 week old Rottweiler puppy into the examination room things went really downhill. We had the vet Allan, who walked past my dog, then directed I place him up on the table and hold him. There was no acknowledgement of my puppy at all by him and his first interaction was his temp being taken with no treats or distraction at all. Obviously this didn't render a pleasant reaction from my pup who growled and had a bite at me as I was the one holding him. Allan then went on to say how aggressive my puppy was and how concerning it was. I fully understand the breed and that there will be alot of work involved, however this lack of effort from the vet lead to a worse situation then it needed. Now my pup has a terrible experience with vets, and unfortunately I am now slightly on edge because of how the edge spoke to me. I'm sorry but this was truly an awful experience and I wouldn't want anyone else getting puppies to be filled with such fear and doubt.

Never had a positive experience with this clinic, everyone I have spoken to on the phone is extremely rude, I don't know anything about the suing that other comments mention but perhaps I'm not lone. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Do not go to the vet by any means for your pet- you will be over charged, underwhelmed, and left asking yourself whether your pet got the right care. And don't worry- I would not use my full real name on here for obvious reasons.

Took my cat to get vaccinated and the vet suggested de-clawing my cat. Not only is this illegal, but also very inhumane. After reading other reviews of this place I wish I had stayed clear. There are plenty of other local vets nearby.. go with them instead.

This amazing, compassionate vet has saved THREE HUNDRED cats this year by caring for them and placing them in warm homes with loving families. He saved 300 lives on top of the thousands cared for through his gentle and thorough veterinary practice. This is a massive undertaking for no benefit to Allan or his wonderful staff - a testament to an animal lover and superhero all round. I thank you! ❤️

Ah, those positive posts are doing exactly the same thing as the negative posts and in the same way. The thing about this whole issue is the personal letter written by the vet, by hand of all things, was a cleverly disguised personal insult to a former client. Professional practices generally don't write administrative letters by hand, an out of service printer being the only reason, but printing services exist everywhere. There is no need to say your service will not be available to a leaving client, why would a leaving client come back for a service? No, this letter is a vet taking the leaving of a client and subsequent social media coverage, very personally. Writing it by hand, and writing it himself instead of leaving the matter to his admin staff, pretty much says it all. The follow up legal actions by Dr O'Grady are just making things much worse. And now it's gone to 60 mins and you tube. Brilliant Doc and Doc's legal team, is this what you were hoping for!?

Fantastic practice. Great service and staff. Would recommend for any emergency visits if you get stuck. Pity there is a current hate brigade stemming from an incident x amount of months/years ago (to which you can tell some source sent a posse over as all comments are grouped then) and 2 days ago (when a current affair uploaded their video to youtube what a coincidence!) Best of luck in the future Dr O'Grady and staff

This Vet may have done wonderful things for animals over the years, but he treats his customers as adversaries if they dare say anything negative or inquire into reasons for specific charges. Suing a woman for posting a negative review tells people a lot about your character. Allen is a coward and instead of protecting your reputation through legal means, you've now shown the world who you really are. I wouldn't bring a worm into this clinic, let alone a beloved family pet.

I have been a client of Dr Allen O'Grady for over 35 years. My first consult was a late night call for my cocker spaniel back in 1984. Since that day he has been my dogs' best friend. Always compassionate to the animals and a brilliant diagnostician. Read the plate at the front door of his practice.... "Master of Veterinary Science". A brilliant vet indeed.

Took our new pup to puppy preschool for some basic training for us and the dog. Found it to be an excellent experience allowing the puppies to socialise in a safe environment. We were given so many great tips on training and care and had great fun too. Would definitely recommend it
